To the people who run The Domina Hotel and Conference Capannelle, being Italian is an art, and part of being Italian is having a certain kind of elegance and a sense of hospitality. It is not only innate in every Italian; it is the product of one thousand years of history. It is ingrained in the culture of every Italian, and these qualities are part of what makes The Domina Hotel and Conference Capannelle remarkable.

Italians also love beauty, and this is evident in the interiors of The Domina Hotel and Conference Capannelle. They pay attention to up to the smallest detail. Every element is carefully picked, and they make sure that nothing is out of place.

The superior rooms are larger than the classic rooms, and they are furnished with double beds or twin beds. The garden can be seen from these rooms. Executive rooms come with double beds or twin beds as well, and they face the garden. Each executive room opens onto a balcony, so guests can go there to enjoy the view. The suites are very spacious, and each has its own living room. The suites are furnished with double beds, and they also open into a terrace. The city, the garden, or the interior courtyard can be seen from there. All the rooms come with air conditioning, a bathtub and/or shower, a deposit box, a desk, wireless Internet connection, a radio, a telephone, and a television. They also provide bathrobes. They use orthopedic mattresses on all their beds as well.

Dining at the Domina Hotel and Conference Capannelle’s Marco Polo restaurant is definitely an extraordinary experience. The cuisine is noteworthy, with the right balance between Italian and Oriental. They also have a bar called The D Bar, and the bar is a great place for business meetings or even just to relax and unwind.

A Dutch Work of Art

Tuesday Dec 15, 2009

When observing the Hotel Artemis Amsterdam, you will realize that a hotel is not just a building. It can also be a work of art.

The hotel’s style is based on Dutch design. Everything follows this theme, even little details like eating utensils. Dutch design is very geometric, and you can see this in all the rooms of the hotel. The lobby is a good example. Its doors are high and made up of asymmetrical shapes. Its windows are large as well. Aside from geometric shapes, the interior designers of Hotel Artemis Amsterdam also used colors and lighting to create the overall look of the place. Another remarkable attribute of the Hotel Artemis Amsterdam’s design are its multi-functional areas.

The artists who worked on the Dutch design of the Hotel Artemis Amsterdam are all contemporary designers, but they draw their inspiration from established Dutch artists such as Willem Marinus Dudok and Gerrit Rietveld. Some of the artists who helped create the impressive designs of the Hotel Artemis Amsterdam are Piet Hein Eek, Richard Hutten, and Marcel Wanders.

The Hotel Artemis Amsterdam is also home to the Artemis Art Collection. A new piece of artwork is added to this collection every year. All the pieces are commissioned; made especially for the hotel.

The Hotel Artemis Amsterdam has four stars, not only for its design, but more importantly, for its accommodations. They provide guests with a high level of luxury and comfort while satisfying their eyes with an environment that is remarkable and attractive. There are 256 guest rooms in the hotel. Visitors may select from business, executive, and senior classifications. All the rooms include air conditioning, a bathroom with a shower and a toilet, coffee and tea making facilities, a hair dryer, a mini bar, a safe, a telephone, and a trouser press. They have cable television and also have a selection of movies on video. There is also a wireless Internet connection that guests can avail of for free.

The restaurant-bar in the hotel is named De-Stijl. Translated literally, it means “the style”. The dishes offered by the restaurant are all made up of high-quality Dutch produce put together in a creative manner. The restaurant is a good place to meet, dine, and relax. Needless to say, its layout is also Dutch design-inspired. The layout is unique and clever, but still comfortable.

The Hotel Artemis Amsterdam also hosts different events, such art exhibitions, book launches, and fashion shows.
