Man Fat Monastery: Popularly known as the Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple, the place houses nearly 12,800 Buddhas each with a slightly different pose. A stretch of 400 steps lead up to the temple. Stanley Prison: A 70 year old detention center built before World War II. This high security prison is known to house some of the most dangerous criminals of Hong Kong.
Liu Man Shek Tong Ancestral Hall: A 14th century ancestral hall built by the Liu clan as a display of their good fortune. The walls of this hall have name tablets holding the names of Liu ancestors through ages.
